Muslim Friendly Menu at Yamaichibekkan in Miyajima, Hiroshima!
Did you know an area in Hiroshima called Miyajima?
Together with Matsujima and Amanohashidate, Miyajima has been known as one of the three most famous scenic spots in Japan. Furthermore, Miyajima has been awarded No. 1 by TripAdvisor (the most popular sightseeing spot site) in 2011. Miyajima was also registered as a world heritage by UNESCO in 1996.
Then in that fascinating spot, once you get off the ferry, there is Yamaichibekkan which is known for its Hiroshima’s eel and oyster, which is now started to serve Muslim friendly menu!
Yamaichibekkan does not use pork at the first place, but as it is a restaurant that serves Japanese traditional cuisine, so there was alcohol ingredient in the seasonings. Now in welcoming Muslim customers, Yamaichibekkan started to use non-alcohol seasoning.

Policy
（1）The restaurant does not obtain a halal certificate from a third body.
（2）Kitchen is not exclusive for halal cooking but is also used to prepare another menu. There is no pork in the restaurant
（3）We use halal meat for Muslim friendly menu
（4）We use halal-certified seasonings in Muslim friendly menu
(For items without certification, the ingredients have been thoroughly inspected)
（5）We use separate cookware such as cutting boards, bowls, etc
（6）We use the same tableware as other menus. However, if any request, we are able to prepare disposable tableware such as cups, forks, knives, chopsticks, etc.
