Halal Snacks in Yokohama!

Recently, Yokohama has been a city that offers not only a great harmony of city view and ocean, but also muslim friendly services, from restaurants to snacks!

This time, we had a chance to visit Mega Don Quijote in Yokohama where we found a halal snack corner! It’s at a 5 min walk from Motomachi-Chukagai station and Yamashita park which is a favorite place for tourists and citizens.

At the halal corner, there are a variety of halal products which is great for souvenirs. From Muslims-favorite Samurai Ramen, halal chocolate, to the traditional Tokyo Arare and biscuit! A pack of halal chocolate has some flavors you can enjoy. Coin chocolate also has been a favorite of Japanese people and it’s available halal.

Choya plum soda is a popular drink among Muslims. It has sour taste of plum, which makes you want to have it again once you try. Then the left one is Ninja Lager, a halal certified drink from Middle East.

Japanese Restaurant MINATO

Halal food? Vegetarian food? Name it! MINATO offers a lot variety of foods that can be enjoyed by everyone.

“Japanese Restaurant MINATO” is the branch of popular muslim friendly restaurant in Osaka, “Japanese Restaurant MATSURI”. It serves Osaka soul food such as okonomiyaki and takoyaki, and recently they also offers the must-try motsunabe!

Furthermore, they have a prayer room and wudu space inside the restaurant.

The most popular ramen shop in Yokohama! It has two branches, those are at SARIO Heichinsaryoo Yokohama World Porters (1F) and SARIO Heichinsaryoo Yokohama China Town.

It has a variety of muslim friendly ramen from miso flavor (the most popular among Muslims!), salt flavor, and shoyu flavor. Besides, they also have gyudon, curry, as well as halal daifuku and halal ice cream that is suitable for afternoon tea time!

Yokohama World Porters has a spacious prayer room at the 6th floor. Don’t forget to inform the staff at information center 2F first and you will get a password to use the room.
