Isesaki City that Famous For Its Silk Fabrics

Isesaki City in Gunma Prefecture is famous for its silk fabrics and has prospered as a sericulture area since ancient times. Tajima Yahei(1822-198) is famous for establishing the modern sericulture method “Sericulture (*Seiryoiku is one of the sericulture methods, which is left to the natural climate and is not bred in greenhouses)” which played an important role in the Isesaki’s silk fabrics.

In addition, Isesaki City is said to be a hidden international city with many foreigners reside and gather there. One of the reasons is the existence of the Isesaki Mosque and halal restaurants around it.

This curry shop is popular with their butter chicken curry called “Batachiki”. “Batachiki” was born from the desire to enjoy authentic curry dishes more casually. They have naan which is made from wheat flour from Gunma Prefecture, deep-fried tandoori chicken flavor, and curry tsukemen in collaboration with the ramen shop “Keishoken”. The authentic food menu that won’t let you tired of eating every day.
