The First Halal Vending Machines in Japan Brought by a Nation!
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Tokyo, together with the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, Bank Indonesia, Bank BNI, Garuda Indonesia, Pertamina, and the ASEAN Japan Centre, officially inaugurated the Indonesia Halal Vending Machine at the Embassy on Monday, June 12, 2023.
This initiative aims to promote and brand Indonesia as the global halal hub by the year 2024. The launch of the vending machine marks an innovative step towards increasing the market presence of Indonesian products and strengthening the relationship between Indonesia and Japan.
Increasing Awareness of Indonesian Halal Products in Japan
During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. John Tjahjanto Boestami, the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan, expressed that the introduction of Indonesia Halal Vending Machines in Japan is an innovative approach to enhance the marketing of Indonesian products, ensuring broader recognition within the Japanese community.
Notably, this vending machine is the first of its kind in Japan to exclusively promote products from a single country, making it a unique platform for Indonesian businesses to showcase their halal offerings.
