Learn, Taste, and Enjoy Vegan Plant-Based Foods for Three Days

Asahi Shimbun, one of Japan’s major media companies, is set to hold the “Plant-Based Market” exhibition for plant-based foods at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from September 1st to 3rd, 2023. The purpose of this event is to increase the diversity of dietary options while promoting awareness of the importance of sustainable lifestyles, food supply, and the environment.

The event aims to provide an opportunity for visitors to learn about, taste, and become familiar with vegan and plant-based foods. With a growing interest in plant-based foods, this exhibition seeks to draw attention to the benefits of plant-based diets and raise awareness of their positive impact on the environment and health.

This event is organized in cooperation with the Japan Plant-Based Market Association. The venue consists of around 90 booths (scheduled) featuring companies and organizations that offer plant-based products and is expected to attract around 5,000 visitors over three days.

In addition, during the event, the “JAPAN VEGAN AWARDS 2023” (organized by the Japan Plant-Based Market Association and sponsored by the Asahi Shimbun) will be held to recognize individuals and groups who have contributed to the promotion and development of plant-based and vegan lifestyles. Winners will be selected from 100 nominated candidates in various fields such as medicine, academia, cuisine, economics, animal welfare, environment, and culture, and will be announced at the venue. Exhibitors who can help make the event more exciting are being sought, and the application process will close when the target number is reached.
