Another Scholarship Option to Study in Japan
There are many options for scholarships to pursue study in Japan. MEXT scholarship is one of the most popular scholarships that might be challenging to pass the selection. However, one of our Muslim sisters from Indonesia succeeded to pursue her study at the International University of Japan (IUJ) in Niigata Prefecture with the ADB (Asian Development Bank) Scholarship.
According to the website, “The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) offers about 135 graduate scholarships a year for studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development-related fields”.
She has been to Japan for a trip a few times, and today she came back to Japan to study.
“Japan is an orderly country, its people highly value privacy, and they respect time very much. These three important things become the starting point for making Japan a study destination”, she said.
Then she adds, “The International University of Japan has student backgrounds of more than 50 nationalities, a very diverse university that is excellent for expanding networking and international insight, which makes her eagerly want to go on to higher education at the university. Especially in the International Development Program which the university provides an in-depth curriculum in economics and quantitative methods so that she can contribute to the home country’s development in the future”.
