On May 20, 2025, Saitama Prefecture announced the appointment of 20 groups (21 persons) as “Saitama PR Ambassadors 2025” to promote the region’s attractions domestically and internationally. Among them, an Indonesian influencer living in Saitama Nazaya Zulaikha, which also the part of Food Diversity, Inc., was selected, leveraging her multicultural background to share its appeal worldwide.
This is the first time a Muslim individual has been appointed in this position.

Nazaya has been moving to Japan in 2015 and residing in Saitama since then. She actively shares information about tourism, halal and vegan food diversity, and spots favored by Muslims and Southeast Asians via her Instagram account.
With this appointment, she will introduce more, from her perspective as a Saitama resident, local tourist spots, gourmet foods, and cultural experiences.
In her remarks on the appointment, Nazaya stated:
“There are many wonderful foods and cultural aspects in Saitama that are not yet widely known. As someone living here, I want to share those charms through my own perspective and help people from various backgrounds—especially Muslims and those from Southeast Asia—get to know Saitama. And I hope it will become an opportunity for them to actually visit.”

Nazaya conveyed her enthusiasm and aspirations with the Governor of Saitama Prefecture
Going forward, she plans to disseminate information about tourist destinations, gourmet spots, and experience-based content through her Instagram account (@nazayazulaikha) and the official Saitama Prefecture Instagram (@saitama_pref_official).
