GMTI is a ranking of Muslim-friendly destinations published annually by Mastercard (the US) and CrescentRating (Singapore) and is known to have a tremendous impact on the Muslim travel market.

This is the first time in two years since the announcement was postponed last year due to a global pandemic. It will be interesting to see where Japan, which has consistently raised its ranking, will rank.
