Sobadokoro Ten–an, the First Muslim Friendly Restaurant in Takachiho, Miyazaki Prefecture.

Takachiho in Miyazaki Prefecture, at the southwest of Japan in Kyushu Area, is a town known for it’s Takachiho Gorge, a trail follows the Gokase River that has been designated as a national scenic spot natural monument. The Takachiho Gorge is accessible by boat, a great spots to enjoy especially the  greenery during summer and colorful leaves during autumn. Besides, it also has a lot of Shinto shrines surrounded with a rich of nature.

We got a lot of inquiries asking where to have a muslim friendly dish in this magnificent spot. Alhamdulillah now we are gladly inform you the first muslim friendly soba restaurant in Takachiho!

Sobadokoro Ten-an

Six minute ride by car from the Takachiho Gorge, there is a soba restaurant “Sobadokoro Ten-an” with a muslim friendly menu you can enjoy after or before go to the nature!

The Sobadokoro Ten-an has a homey interior, a perfect place to experience Japanese food in a Japanese home.

What You Should Have

Try their most-popular “soba set”! You can enjoy seasonal vegetable tempura which differ in every season and the chewy homemade soba noodle! They are using alcohol free tsuyu (sauce for dipping soba noodle or tempura). To enjoy this soba menu, you can just walk-in and enjoy!

Besides of soba, they also have halal roast beef menu! For this menu, please do pay attention as you need to make a reservation 1 week in advance.
