Saido’s Noodle Dish Comes to Kansai Region!
Known for its exceptional popularity and holding the highest ratings on Happy Cow, it is no exaggeration to say that Saido restaurant in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo, is Japan’s most challenging vegan restaurant to secure a reservation. Among the menu options at Saido, their ramen stand out as absolute favorite, captivating countless individuals with its incredible flavors.
In the midst of this, we have received breaking news!
The newly opened SAI-CAFE in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, now offers the renowned ramen from Saido. All of the dishes on the menu are supervised by Chef Kusumoto, the head chef at Saido, ensuring that customers can enjoy the same popular flavors that Saido is famous for.
Moreover, SAI-CAFE presents exclusive menu items that can only be savored at their establishment, further intensifying this new venture’s excitement and anticipation.
The menu offerings at SAI-CAFE are created without the use of any animal-derived ingredients, refined sugar, umami seasonings, or alcohol-based ingredients, just like those provided by Saido.
The visually appealing ramen is a treat for the body, packed with plenty of vegetables sourced from Tamba City in Hyogo Prefecture. The rich broth, which brings out the maximum flavor of the vegetables and mushrooms, pairs exceptionally well with Chef Kusumoto’s specially selected custom noodles (low-carb noodles). Furthermore, the ginger miso ramen even offers the popular “vegetable-based egg” from Saido as an additional topping.
Once you taste the deep umami and flavorful taste, it’s guaranteed that you’ll become addicted!
Customers who have tasted the food include comments such as, “I forgot it was free of animal-derived ingredients halfway through the meal,” “It was healthy without compromising on taste,” and “I had assumed it wouldn’t be satisfying enough for a man, but I was proven wrong in terms of both flavor and portion size.”
Not only is the entire menu vegetarian and vegan-friendly, but it also caters to dietary restrictions such as halal. Additionally, it is worth noting that their noodle dishes are also Oriental vegan-friendly as they are free from the “five pungent roots” (onions, garlic, scallions, chives, and leeks).
The owner, Mr. Yano, opened the restaurant with the intention of delivering a dining experience where people from various religions, cultures, and values can come together with smiles in Himeji, a city that attracts many people from overseas, aiming towards Himeji Castle. When visiting the restaurant, he expresses his desire for guests to enjoy “food, ambiance, and presentation” to the fullest.
Although the restaurant has recently opened, it has been consistently packed, and therefore reservations (via phone: 079-280-6661 or Instagram) are highly recommended.
