Discussing Halal Food and Muslim-Friendly Japan on J-Wave’s TOKYO MORNING RADIO
We are excited to share that Food Diversity Inc. recently had the incredible opportunity to speak on J-Wave’s TOKYO MORNING RADIO, hosted by the renowned Tetsuya Bessho!
Halal in Japan: Breaking the Stereotypes
Many people still associate halal with just “Indian curry”, but that’s an outdated concept! Muslim travelers visiting Japan today are eager to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine, including sushi, wagyu beef, and local delicacies.
However, the challenge remains: halal options are still limited, especially in rural areas. Many Muslim visitors avoid local regions because they struggle to find suitable food options.
Building a More Muslim-Friendly Japan
Japan is already known for its hospitality, and expanding halal options can attract even more visitors from Muslim-majority countries. Over the past decade, Food Diversity Inc. (formerly Halal Media Japan) has been at the forefront of promoting halal and food diversity in Japan. Through our efforts, we have contributed to the growth of halal-certified restaurants, Muslim-friendly services, and increased awareness among businesses.
By fostering a deeper understanding of halal and integrating food diversity into business strategies, Japan can become a truly inclusive and welcoming destination for all!
