HALAL shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and steak at "Bulls" restaurant (Namba, Osaka)

BULLS is a restaurant mainly serving shabu-shabu using beef.
Our customers come from all over the world including Western countries, Asia, etc. We decided to start services for Muslims when we had a group of customers from Indonesia two years ago. When we explained to them that our sesame dipping sauce contains alcohol and that the beef is not HALAL meat, they said they cannot have them and left the restaurant without eating anything. I was very, very shocked. This was when we started to study about HALAL and adapted a system to get our Muslim guests can enjoy at ease.

We use different tableware, kitchen utensils, and storage for HALAL foods.
It was not easy finding supplier selling HALAL meat made in Japan, but we were able to find HALAL meat that Japanese people find delicious, and condiments were changed to HALAL-friendly items. We trained all our staff about HALAL and are now fully ready to serve Muslim customers.
