Halal Beef Bone Ramen Debuts at Shin-Osaka Station on September 12, 2024

Osaka is about to welcome a brand-new culinary gem that will delight both locals and travelers alike!

Opening on September 12, 2024, “Ramen Gyukotsu no Ou” will be serving up delicious, halal-certified beef bone ramen right inside JR Shin-Osaka Station at the Arde! Shin-Osaka complex. This exciting addition is the latest venture from Daishin Jitsugyo, a company well-known for its successful restaurant chains throughout the Kansai region.

As of September 2, 2024, the restaurant is applying for halal certification.

Halal Ramen Like No Other

What makes “Ramen Gyukotsu no Ou” stand out is its commitment to using only the finest ingredients and sustainable cooking methods.

The star of the show is the special beef bone broth, which is crafted using a unique process that extracts maximum flavor in half the time of traditional methods.

This not only ensures a rich and satisfying taste but also aligns with sustainable development goals (SDGs) by minimizing waste and environmental impact.

The broth is paired with a Kansai-style dashi, made from a blend of premium bonito flakes sourced from a 70-year-old Osaka-based katsuobushi shop.

This delicate dashi is combined with high-quality saba (mackerel) and urume iwashi (sardine) flakes from Kumamoto Prefecture, as well as auxis fish flakes from Tosashimizu, Kochi Prefecture.

Only low-fat fish are chosen, which brings a result to a broth that’s both light and flavorful, enhancing the natural umami of the beef.

Four kinds of fishes used to make dashi

*Kansai-style dashi, popular in the Osaka and Kyoto areas, is known for its lighter, more delicate flavor, and appears in a clear, subtly sweet broth that enhances the natural flavors of dishes. In contrast, Kanto-style dashi, typical in Tokyo, uses a stronger concentration of bonito flakes, resulting in a darker, bolder, and more umami-rich broth.

Premium Halal-Certified Miyazaki Herb Beef

For those who crave something extra special, the ramen is topped with Halal-certified Miyazaki Herb Beef—a premium beef known for its rich flavor and tender texture.

Raised on a diet of herbs like oregano, cinnamon, ginger, and garlic, this beef is not only flavorful but also high in Vitamin E, offering antioxidant properties that keep the meat fresh and succulent.

The beef’s low melting point means it melts in your mouth, providing a truly luxurious eating experience.

Selectable Two Types of Noodles

To complement the rich beef bone broth, “Ramen Gyukotsu no Ou” offers two types of noodles: flat and ultra-thin. These noodles are made from a blend of carefully selected domestic wheat, natural lye water, and salt, resulting in a texture that perfectly balances the hearty broth.

The noodles are crafted to retain the delicate wheat aroma while providing the perfect chewiness to soak up the rich, umami-packed soup.
