Snow Mosque Was Back After 3 Years!
Asahikawa Winter Festival 2023 was held from February 7th (Tues) to 12th (Sun), presenting the Guinness Book Record-ed snow-sculptured stage (140 meters wide and 20 meters high!), characters snow sculptures made by companies and personals, ice slide, and more.
Snow mosque was one of the most anticipated sculptures to be found only in the Asahikawa Winter Festival!
The snow mosque made its appearance after 3 years. Did you know that you can actually get inside the mosque and do prayer there?
It was first on the stage in 2018 and 2019, then come back in 2023. There were a lot of international visitors coming to see the snow mosque!
Besides, there was an ice sliding with 100 meters in length that test your adrenaline! At night, the sculptures and stage were lightened up with the performance of the amazing project mapping.
