A Couple Who Is Living in Tohoku Tried Vegan Restaurants in Ninohe!
Ninohe City in Iwate Prefectures announced Ninohe’s Food Diversity Project in 2020, which aims to the global expansion of local food and to accommodate the increasingly growing number of foreign visitors to Japan. In 2021, restaurants in the region have been promoting a focus on vegan meals.
A vegan couple who lives in Aomori Prefecture was going to Ninohe and actually experienced the vegan restaurant’s tour in the city as monitors in the city’s food diversity project, which they introduced in a Youtube video. They were visiting 4 restaurants that offer vegan foods and the world’s first vegan-certified sake.
