Experience the Fusion of Local Flavors and Ethical Choices Amidst Cute Penguin Walks
Nestled in the heart of the vibrant city of Asahikawa, Hokkaido Prefecture, Asahiyama Zoo has taken a significant leap forward in catering to diverse dietary preferences.
Visitors to the zoo can now savor the essence of local flavors through the newly introduced vegan-friendly option, adding a delightful twist to their experience amidst the famed cute penguin walks!
Vegan Plant-Based Steamed Bun
Known for its charming penguin walk, Asahiyama Zoo has expanded its culinary offerings to accommodate those seeking vegan-friendly choices.
The star of the show is the mouthwatering 100% plant-based steamed bun, which is on sale starting from 13 January 2024 (Saturday).
The bun weighs 150g initially but expands to a generous 170g after heating, ensuring a satisfying meal that provides ample energy for your zoo exploration.
Furthermore, the bun is crafted without chemical seasonings, white sugar, and eggs, offering a worry-free dining experience for those with allergies.
To make it even more accessible, these delectable treats can be found at the zoo premises – Asahiyama Zoo Club Main Gate Gift Shop and Bakery (B), conveniently situated right after the main gate entrance, and Asahiyama Zoo Club East Gate Gift Shop (E), located at the east gate.
Priced at 650 yen each, the plant-based bun promises a gastronomic adventure and reflects the commitment to inclusivity and ethical dining for vegan visitors.
The key to the steamed bun experience lies in its freshness. Served hot and straight from the oven, visitors can relish the warmth and aroma of the buns, ensuring a delightful culinary journey that complements the captivating sights of the zoo.
Visitors embracing a vegan lifestyle can indulge in the plant-based alternative, savoring the rich flavors without compromising their ethical choices.
Meanwhile, plant-based steamed bun is available in the Kanto area at the Black Tokyo Store in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
