The announcement comes as the world is increasingly aware of the ethical and environmental issues surrounding the production of foie gras and caviar. In Italy, Poland, and Turkey, foie gras production has been banned, and the sturgeon, from which caviar is harvested, is now critically endangered.
Japan Ceremony Co., Ltd. is committed to sustainability, and the company hopes that by offering vegan foie gras and caviar, it can help couples celebrate their special day in an environmentally friendly way.
This news is a sign of the growing trend of wedding venues adopting sustainable food practices. Vegan foie gras and caviar are not only better for the environment than their animal-based counterparts, but they are also nutritious and healthy. As awareness of the benefits of vegan food grows, the demand for these products is likely to increase.
