A new HALAL ramen shop opened in Shinjuku. It is called Ramen Ouka, and just opened on September 7th, 2015.
The restaurant has received HALAL certification from the Otsuka Mosque, and does not offer any alcohol in the menu.
The ramen with amazing aroma of sea bream soup served with handmade noodles is delicious, and is different from that of a another HALAL ramen. A meringue made by adding yuzu (Japanese citrus fruit) to egg whites is topped on the ramen. Tomato is used as a secret ingredient, in which the slight sourness sharpens your appetite.
They even offer vegan ramen.
They are intensive on HALAL and make sure to use only alcohol-free wet towels and sterilizing agents.
And finally…you can have ochazuke (rice with soup or tea poured on top) with the remaining soup after finishing the ramen. This is a delicious way to end the meal, allowing you to enjoy the dish in two ways.
*The bowl to make pouring the soup easier was made to order.
Please enjoy the HALAL ramen with a new flavor!
