Egg-Free, Meat-Free, Dairy-Free! Mujirushi’s New Challenge
Mujirushi Ryouhin (known as Mujirushi) is a retail shop spread within Japan that sells various household and consumer goods, from furniture and retort foods to skincare products and travel goods with the concept of simple and customizable. They also come in a compact shop available at airports in Japan offering travel goods and kinds of stuff that are convenient for people for and during traveling.
In June 2020, they launched 3 kinds of halal-certified curry; Masak Lemak, Beef Rendang, and Curry Ayam which is one of the great steps to meet diversified foods and needs (the production ends and sales will end as soon as stock runs out).
Mujirushi regularly launches new products in each season and in this autumn/winter, they launched 6 kinds of egg-free, meat-free, and dairy-free retort curry, which is available on sale starting from Oct 19, 2022, available in 180 g at 290 yen/pcs.

Vegetable Korma Curry (Meat and Egg-Free)
Vegetable curry uses the North Indian veggie curry as the model that brings out the flavor of vegetables themselves, combining five kinds of ingredients into a creamy sauce from fresh cream and yogurt with making most of the richness of cashew nuts and fried onions.
The curry is meat-free and egg-free and does not use meat in the main ingredients and also secondary ingredients.
It comes in one level of spiciness so it is suitable for those who are not good at having spicy foods.
Ingredients: vegetables (potato from Japan, carrot from Japan, green beans, green peas, corn, garlic), cream, fermented milk, cashew nuts paste, rapeseed oil, dried fried onions, grated ginger, wheat flour, salt, spices, starch, yeast extract (some contain wheat, milk, cashew nuts, soybean).
Rajma Masala (Red Bean & Tomato Curry) (Meat, Dairy, Egg-Free)
This curry also uses North Indian veggie curry as the model that brings out the flavor of tomatoes, combined with red kidney beans with the deep flavor of stir-fried onions. It has a nice fragrant onion sauce with cardamom and cinnamon to add flavor to the tomato sauce and comes in third-level of spiciness. The deep-red sauce is really mouthwatering!
The curry does not use meat as the main ingredient and also secondary ingredients, using ingredients such as kidney beans, potatoes, eggplants, and chickpeas to bring out the flavor of the vegetables.
Ingredients: red kidney beans (from America), fried onion, tomato paste, tomato puree, dried fried onions, rapeseed oil, vegetables (garlic, green pepper), grated ginger, salt, cumin, starch, sugar, coriander, tamarind paste, turmeric, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, yeast extract, fennel, cloves, red pepper, mace, laurel (some contain soybean).
Aloo Matar (Potato and Green Pea Curry) (Meat and Egg-Free)
The curry combines potatoes and green peas with a sauce that features the scent of cumin and garam masala, bringing out the flavor of vegetables and the scent of spices.
It does not use meat in the main ingredients and secondary ingredients, such as kidney beans, potatoes, eggplants, and chickpeas to bring out the flavor of the vegetables. Comes in third-level of spiciness.

Baingan Till Masala (Eggplant and Sesame Curry) (Meat, Dairy, Egg-Free)
The curry has a nice fragrance from grilled eggplant and rich sesame paste, inspired by South Indian veggie curry. It has a well-balanced spice that goes well with white rice and also multi-grain rice.
It does not use meat in the main ingredients and secondary ingredients, such as kidney beans, potatoes, eggplants, and chickpeas to bring out the flavor of the vegetables. Comes in third-level of spiciness.
Ingredients: grilled eggplant (product from Italy), tomato puree, sesame seeds, fried onion, rapeseed oil, tomato paste, vegetables (garlic, green pepper), grated ginger, salt, spices, roasted coconuts, sugar, starch, fermented seasoning powder (some contain sesame).
Kuzhambu (Coconut and Root Vegetable Curry) (Meat and Egg-Free)
Crispy lotus root and taro give an accent to the coconut milk sauce using tamarind to add a mild sourness, a curry that is inspired by South Indian veggie curry. The curry featured an interesting combination between moderate spiciness and sourness which goes well with white rice and multi-grain rice.
It does not use meat in the main ingredients and secondary ingredients, such as kidney beans, potatoes, eggplants, and chickpeas to bring out the flavor of the vegetables. Comes in third-level of spiciness.

Inspired by South Indian veggie curry, the curry combines chickpeas with a sauce that brings out the flavor of tomatoes which features the richness of coconut milk and the flavor of curry leaves and goes well with white rice and multi-grain rice.
It does not use meat in the main ingredients and secondary ingredients, such as kidney beans, potatoes, eggplants, and chickpeas to bring out the flavor of the vegetables. Comes in fourth-level of spiciness, the spiciest curry among the other meat, egg, and dairy-free curry series.
