Matsuri’s Japanese dry curry is quite similar to the classic Asian dried curry or “Nasi Goreng’, except its thicker, dryer if you will. With less gravy, it’s a good, hearty dish with abundant of flavor. This Japanese dry curry also has the mixture of sweet and savory, which frequently tastes in Japanese food.

DIY Takoyaki

Takoyaki, or Octopus Balls, are one of Japan’s best-known street food originated in Osaka. Have you ever tried making takoyaki on your own? No equipment? No ingredients? If you’re in that situation, do come to Matsuri where you can try out both making and eating takoyaki!

Daifuku Set

Daifuku is a squishy rice cake. While it can come in a multitude of colors, it’s different in that it is filled. Daifuku is literally means “filled mochi”. The most common filling is anko (red bean paste), but here in Matsuri, you can try variety of other fillings as well. It is fluffy and yet, as you took your first bite, the soft texture both will impress and confuse you. It just made you want them even more.

Baumkuchen (Cake) & Langue De Chat (Cookies)

‘Baumkuchen’ is lightly-sweet pastry brought to Japan from Germany 100 years ago.
It is popular for its layered shape that resembles the rings of a tree trunk.
You may buy it at Matsuri as a souvenir for your beloved ones. Matsuri has the Baumkuchen in matcha flavor, which everyone loves to have!

Even the Malaysia popular actress, Mira Filzah, loves it!

Langue de chat is a type of cookie derived from French word which mean ‘Tongue of the Cat’. The old French ‘Langues de Chat’ biscuits are certainly in the figure of Cat’s Tongue and often scorched in the special shape, but in Japan they can be round, square or even rolled into tubes.
