Asian Halal Mart Now Opens Near Osaka University

We have good news for everybody: defeating all odds in the time of this pandemic, Asian Halal Mart is now open and only 10 minutes away from Osaka University’s Toyonaka Campus. 

Only 4 minutes away from Hotarugaike station, this Halal grocery store is the first of its kind in the area and has been thoroughly enjoyed by primarily the Muslim community, but also the international community living in Osaka, who are mostly students and workers. 

Asian Halal Mart offers food ingredients for what you would generally pick up for your desired lunch and dinner at your home countries, such as Halal chicken and beef, sausages, frozen spicy wings, Indian and Thai curry spices, Indonesian crackers, and many others.

This grocery store was established in July 2020 by an Indonesian married couple who has resided in Japan for 12 years. This couple has previously launched a small online catering business from home, Minu Kitchen, before finally deciding to venture into a more official F&B business.

It all started with their wish to shop Halal food ingredients from a place near their home. It is no secret that Muslims living in Osaka often have to travel all the way to Kobe, where the city offers an extensive collection of Halal products including meat, spices, snacks, and many more. Having gone back and forth between Kobe and Osaka for many years, the couple wishes to ease the struggle of Muslims in Osaka. 

Asian Halal Mart also offers an online service through its Website and Facebook page and you may make a request for any products that may not be available at the store.
