Its popularity does not stop there, it is also frequently visited by a lot of famous and influential people from abroad, who come to enjoy the delicious Japanese dining with a nostalgic atmosphere that brings you back to a Japan of a bygone era.

Gonpachi Nishiazabu is in a fashionable area of Tokyo, Roppongi, and it’s a 10 min walk from Roppongi station (on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line), as well as Nogizaka station, and Hiroo station. The restaurant is just on the corner of Nishi-Azabu crossing.

It has a retro appearance with terrace seats, a good place to enjoy meals at terrace seat on a warm day.

(we recommend you make your reservation 3 days in advance).

The Halal Ozaki-Beef Steak Course has 6 items that comes one by one, so you can enjoy each dish.

The first item is fried oyster that comes with sweet okonomiyaki sauce and a slice of lemon (lemon is commonly served together with fried food in Japan). The crunchy texture outside with juicy chewy texture inside go well with the okonomiyaki sauce!

Then followed by fresh thick slices of sashimi served with soy sauce. Don’t worry as they use all-halal seasonings, even down to the okonomiyaki sauce and soy sauce.

Dip the fish into soy sauce and enjoy!

The next item is their fried shrimp dumpling with yuzu chili sauce. The yuzu chili sauce goes well with crunchy shrimp dumpling. If you are a shrimp lover, this one is a must-try!

The halal Ozaki beef steak comes in thick slices, cooked medium rare to give the best dining experience of the most-delicious-meat-ever. Since Ozaki beef is really soft, it can’t be cooked too long as it will melt! Meat lovers, you will not be satisfied until you try this superb meat!

Ozaki beef steak has a soft texture and juicy taste, grilled perfectly to bring out the flavor without feeling greasy.

The halal slaughtered Ozaki beef is still rare in Japan as it is a very exclusive kind of beef. Gonpachi Nishiazabu uses halal certified Ozaki beef (pictured below).

In this course, you will also be served a rich beef rice porridge after enjoy Ozaki beef steak. In Japan, it is common to have a rice dish after the main dish. Beef rice porridge served in a Japanese style bowl, topped with Japanese herbs, plenty of meat and eggs.

This porridge has a thick Japanese-style taste and comes in the perfect size that will not get you too full even it comes after the main dish. It’s so good you will eat it all before you know it!

The course ends with a milky vanilla ice cream topped with brown sugar syrup and kinako powder (roasted soybean flour). This is also one item you have to enjoy slowly, with every bite. The vanilla ice cream has a thick but easy-to-eat milky taste, that fits perfectly with sweet brown sugar syrup and nutty kinako powder.
