Ramen Kiou Brings Vegan Tonkotsu-Style Ramen to Osaka Expo 2025!

Visitors to Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 are in for a delicious surprise—Ramen Kiou, a popular Osaka ramen brand, will offer its famous Vegan Paitan Ramen that tastes just like rich tonkotsu ramen—without using any animal products!

This special event-only menu will be available for two days only, April 26–27, 2025, at the EXPO Messe WASSE venue inside the expo grounds. Each bowl is priced affordably from 1,000 yen, and only 300 servings will be available per day, so come early!

What’s on the Menu?

Ramen Kiou has developed its vegan ramen to deliver the same deep, savory flavor as traditional tonkotsu ramen, but using 100% plant-based ingredients. Their goal? To let as many people as possible experience the magic of Japanese ramen—even without meat.

At the Osaka Expo, the following vegan options will be served (in disposable bowls):

  • Vegan Paitan Ramen – 1,000 yen

  • Vegan Spicy Paitan Ramen – 1,250 yen

  • W Charsiu Vegan Paitan Ramen – 1,350 yen

  • W Charsiu Vegan Spicy Paitan Ramen – 1,600 yen

All dishes are available with multilingual menus (English and Chinese) for international visitors.

Also Featuring: Halal Beef Bone Broth from Gyukotsu King

In addition to the vegan ramen, a halal beef bone broth tasting will be offered at the same venue by Gyukotsu King, a sister brand to Ramen Kiou. This is a great opportunity for Muslim visitors to sample authentic Japanese ramen-style broth made with halal-certified ingredients.
