Eid Mubarak!
Greetings from us!
In the middle of the pandemic which does not allow us to back to hometown or home country to gather with family, with keen to enliven the celebration of awaited Eid al-Fitr as well as following the online iftar during Ramadan, we held an online Eid party on 24 May 2020 (Sunday), inviting Muslim sisters from 5 countries to share how they celebrate Eid in their country.
This time we had sisters from Egypt, Turkey, Canada, Singapore, Japan who shared their experiences. Even though there is the time difference between Japan and their countries that makes some of them need to wake up in the early morning to celebrate the Eid with us through online Eid, the event allowed everyone to interact with people from another side of the earth, which is extremely fruitful and fun.
Through the online Eid, we learned that the diversity of cultures is beautiful.
