The Holy Month is Here

Ruyat-e-Hilal Japan has officially announced that Ramadan 2025 will begin on Sunday, March 2, 2025. The decision follows the sighting of the crescent moon, marking the start of the holy month for Muslims across Japan.

Ramadan is a sacred time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community for Muslims worldwide. During this month, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, engage in spiritual activities, and strengthen their connection with faith.

Muslim communities in Japan are preparing for the holy month, with mosques and Islamic centers planning special programs such as taraweeh prayers, iftar gatherings, and charity initiatives. Many halal restaurants and stores are also expected to offer special Ramadan menus and groceries to accommodate those observing the fast.

As Ramadan begins, Muslims in Japan and around the world look forward to a month of devotion, self-discipline, and compassion. The holy month will conclude with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, expected to fall on April 1, 2025, depending on the moon sighting.

Wishing everyone a blessed and peaceful Ramadan!
