Interviews with Exhibitors at Multicultural EXPO 2019
We will report what is going on at the front line of countermeasures for the 2020 issue through the interviews with exhibitors at Multicultural EXPO 2019 held in Asakusa in November 2019.

①Please tell us something about your company and products.
We put effort and work in promoting the Muslim friendly Obihiro.
Previously, we participated at the Halal Expo Japan 2016 and 2017, issued the Muslim Friendly MAP Obihiro together with Halal Media Japan (now Food Diversity Inc), and carrying out the Muslim friendly campaign in Obihiro. Moreover, we support the manufacturing of halal products as well as promoting the Obihiro’s tourism industries to Muslim visitors.
②Why you started to venture into the food diversities?
Because we would like to promote the inbound tourism by establishing the Muslim friendly Obihiro.
③What is the best way to enjoy your products?
Cheese : As pizza or pasta’s topping. You can even enjoy it as it is.
Japanese confectionery : Defrost and enjoy.
④What are your expectations for exhibiting at the Multicultural Expo 2019?
As the result of collaboration through the JICA grassroots project, we exhibit Japan and Malaysia’s halal foods in order to looking for opportunity in entering world-scale market.
Furthermore, we would like to do survey and gain more understanding in how non-Muslim Japanese impression towards the products through food testing, as well as gather information and expect for new business opportunities.
⑤Where to purchase your products?
Online and Obihiro Tokachi. Malaysia’s products are only available in Malaysia and now under adjustment to import to Japan.
On Multicultural EXPO 2019
By reinterpreting HALAL EXPO JAPAN, “Multicultural EXPO 2019 – Tomorrow of Japan – ” will come back to Asakusa for the first time in two years as an EXPO in which we can think about “eating, experiencing, and living” necessary for Japan to get ready for 2020 together with people from all over the world and learn what to do about not only foreign tourists visiting Japan but also immigrant foreigners.

Venue: Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Taito-Kan
