Halal Sweets in Kobe
Kobe has the oldest mosque in Japan. The area from Sannomiya to Motomachi is famous as one of the foremost tourist cities in Japan.
“Kanauta Kobe Motomachi” is a sweets shop located 3 minutes by walk from JR Motomachi station (15 minutes from Kobe mosque).
They only use vegetable-derived ingredients. Also, they do not use any allergic ingredients, so it can be consumed by many people suffering from allergies.
Shown here are organic cookies. They are delicious with a nice crispy texture, and always sells out quickly.
Shown here are whole cakes. They also sell cake by pieces. Popular products are cakes only offered for a limited time made with seasonal fruits.
Waffles come in three flavors of plain, chocolate, and matcha (green tea)
You can sit and eat at the resting space.
A Muslim customer from the Kobe mosque was very fond the sweets.
He commented, “This will be a great souvenir to bring home to my family.”
The sweets are also very popular among female customers. We received a comment, “I really like the chewy texture.”
Message from the store owner Mr. Uchinami
Recently, there are many people that suffer from allergies. I started the store because I wanted to make sweets that can be enjoyed by more people without worries using ingredients from Hyogo Prefecture, and because I wanted my children to eat safe food. I hear that Muslim people feel inconvenience due to food taboo, so I would like them to enjoy the sweets without worries. I would be more than happy if the concept of our shop can help Muslim people.
Our staffs will be waiting for your visit.
